New Anglia ‘Small Grant Scheme’
Outsource contact centre, OpenContact, have secured a grant through the New Anglia Small Grant Scheme, which is part funded by the European Regional Development Fund, to assist in the purchase of furniture and equipment in their new premises in Norwich city centre.
The new premises have the capacity and infrastructure to support growth and will enable OpenContact to grow and adapt to the changing contact centre industry by having better access to the right skills and talent to facilitate that growth. The furniture and equipment will help create a flexible environment that will maximise the capacity of the premises and encourages productivity and service excellence.
OpenContact’s CEO, Fiona Temple said “The contact centre landscape is currently facing a significant change in customer behaviour. As more customers are comfortable with self-service online, the queries coming into contact centres by phone, email, web chat and social media now tend to be less transactional and more complex, putting greater demands on contact centres to recruit and retain the best skilled talent to serve customers. We are adapting to this growing trend by investing in our physical location and environment to be able to attract our future workforce to match changing customer expectations.
By moving our business into the city centre and creating an inviting and comfortable working environment, we believe this investment will help us attract and retain good quality staff who will deliver an excellent service to existing clients and assist us in attracting new clients to enable the continued growth of the business.
Now that the move is complete and we’re settled in, we plan to take advantage of our new location and environment to attract the best calibre employees to help achieve the growth targets we have set ourselves over the next 3-5 years.”
If your business is hoping to grow, launch new products or services or improve productivity, New Anglia LEP’s Small Grant Scheme funded by the ERDF offers grants up to £25,000 to growing businesses in Norfolk and Suffolk. Apply for up to 20% of total project cost, allowing you to think bigger, or invest elsewhere. Contact the New Anglia Growth Hub on 0300 333 6536 or visit www.newangliagrowthhub.co.uk/
